Project description

What became the first of many projects for the designer started with the design and build of her personal home from the ground up. The limitation of a small footprint is perhaps where Graham thrives most.

The notion of form following function is deeply rooted within the design concept and interplays with the designer’s keen sense of finding harmony with architectural details. Dinesen Douglas-fir is curated throughout the home with custom floorboards and wall paneling that span the length of each room and adjoining hallways.

The quiet thread continues into the bathrooms where Graham integrates bespoke shelving concepts to include storage boxes, illumination, mirrors, stone sinks and Boffi plumbing fixtures. Access points between rooms are divided by sliding walls that merge with floor to ceiling cabinetry mindfully positioned to separate rooms and frame windows. Bulthaup’s aluminum B3 series was selected for the kitchen cabinetry to strengthen the connection between interior and exterior materiality. Nearly twenty years old, Graham’s build characterizes the designer’s architectural strengths and ability to execute timeless design.
